Commercial EICR and periodic inspection

Periodic inspection and testing for offices, shops, restaurants, warehouses and mixed-use buildings, planned around your trading hours.

Keeping your premises compliant

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require employers to maintain electrical systems so they do not cause danger. A periodic EICR is the accepted way to show that, and most insurers and landlords ask to see a current report. Recommended intervals under the IET Guidance Note 3 are five years for offices and shops and three years for industrial units and leisure premises.

Planned around you

  • Out-of-hours and weekend testing to avoid shutting down trading
  • Circuit-by-circuit isolation so servers, tills and refrigeration stay live where possible
  • Large sites split across visits with a single combined report
  • Distribution boards labelled and circuit charts updated as part of the inspection

How we price commercial work

Commercial inspections are priced by the number of distribution boards and circuits, not by the hour. Small shops and offices with one board of up to 20 circuits start at £249. Send us your board count, or a copy of your last report, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

Related services

PAT testing for your portable equipment, remedial works to clear any observations, and emergency lighting and fire alarm checks for HMOs and common areas.
